About the shed
| The club’s main aim is to promote the knowledge and skills of woodturning and allied crafts such as pyrography, scroll saw, carving, furniture and toy making, within the general community, while enjoying the fellowship that comes from that common interest.
The club also participates in various activities within the region and around Victoria by demonstrating the various disciplines of woodworking and through sales of members’ work. The main shows are:
Easter Exhibition at Bendigo Trades Hall Council, 40 View Street, Bendigo Bendigo CraftAlive; Bendigo Sheep and Wool Show; Australia Day Celebrations at Lake Weeroona, Bendigo; and Seymour Alternative Farming Expo;
To encourage the youth to take up this hobby, we hold hands on activities for the Scouts and Venturers where each participant can try their hand at the various disciplines of woodworking. |
