Daylesford Men’s Shed Giving Back Nesting Boxes for Native Wildlife

The Daylesford Men’s Shed is proud to share a recent project that combines craftsmanship, community spirit, and care for local wildlife.

One of their dedicated members, Bob, has been busy in the workshop over the past few weeks building a set of beautifully crafted nesting boxes. These boxes were recently donated to the Hepburn Wildlife Shelter, just in time for the busy spring nesting season.

Native birds and small mammals often struggle to find safe spaces to raise their young, especially with habitat loss on the rise. Projects like this provide much-needed support for wildlife in the region and the shed is proud to play a part in that.

A big thank you to Jon from the Hepburn Wildlife Shelter for collaborating with the shed on this meaningful initiative. The shed looks forward to supporting the shelter’s incredible work well into the future.

Whether it’s lending a hand in the workshop or helping preserve local wildlife, the Daylesford Men’s Shed continues to show what can be achieved when skills meet community connection.
