Bonney Energy Men’s Shed Community Award Winners at Pomonal Road Show

A standout moment of the Pomonal Roadshow was the presentation of the Bonney Energy Shed Community Awards, honouring three exceptional sheds from the Wimmera and Grampians region. Each winning shed received a $200 Bonney Energy fuel voucher in recognition of their outstanding contribution to the communities they call home.
Ararat Men’s Shed
Ararat was recognised for their generous volunteer work alongside Ararat Neighbourhood House, Ararat Community College, and a range of local schools and preschools. The shed was also celebrated for cultivating a genuinely welcoming and inclusive environment — one that has seen its membership grow steadily and strongly in recent years.

Beaufort Men’s Shed
Beaufort took out an award for their remarkable community partnerships, working alongside the Beaufort Pony Club, the Beaufort branch of Bendigo Bank, the Beaufort Research Centre, and the Heart Program. The shed also produces signage for the local Beaufort Market, and received special recognition for the extraordinary determination of keeping their shed community together through three years of waiting for a new home.

Hamilton Men’s Shed
Hamilton was honoured for their tireless commitment to community partnership across the region, working alongside the Southern Grampians Shire, Western District Health Service, Hamilton SES, the Hamilton Sheepvention Committee, and the Hamilton RSL.

Congratulations to all three sheds. The work being done across the Wimmera and Grampians is a powerful reminder of what Men’s Sheds mean to the towns and people they serve.
The VMSA extends its sincere gratitude to Bonney Energy for their generous and ongoing support of the Shed Community Awards program. Their commitment to recognising the incredible work shedders do for communities right across Victoria is truly valued and appreciated.
