The Men’s Shed at St Andrews
The Men’s Shed at St Andrews opened its doors to the public during the St Andrews Festival on 21 March, welcoming the community to a day that had something for everyone.
With support from Bendigo Bank, nearly 50 kids got hands on assembling their own toolboxes, taking home a practical memento from the day. Outside, an impressive lineup of over 20 vehicles drew plenty of attention, spanning more than a century of motoring history from a 1907 Cadillac and a Ford Rat Rod through to a show Z3 and a 1987 Kenworth prime mover.
Inside the shed, wood turning, 3D printing and CNC router demonstrations gave visitors a firsthand look at the skills and equipment the shed has to offer, keeping curious minds of all ages engaged throughout the day.
The event was a fantastic opportunity for the shed to connect with the local community and showcase the breadth of what goes on behind the shed doors.
